As a member of the Field Support Team, your primary focus will be to support sales and customer relations. This role will involve working closely with our Clients National Sales and Partnership Manager to fully understand individual customers and larger national groups’ needs and requirements from an ADAS perspective.

This role is subject to extensive travel UK wide. You may be required on a weekly basis to facilitate multiple repairers and locations with overnight stays. A high level of attention to detail, integrity and professionalism must be key individual traits in your work ethic. As this role is heavily customer facing, it is imperative that demonstrable skills are evident.

On site installations, training and demonstrations of our clients equipment will be required with a granular understanding of ADAS across multiple OEMs.

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

A successful candidate will be working as part of a small team devoted to service excellence in delivering training and building confidence with a strong customer centric focus.

  • Training will be provided in using OEM equipment at our north east training centre were you will gather experience working along side remote technicians in using all OEM dealer tools to gather knowledge for application in the field.
  • Proficient in identification of faults on vehicles, error messages, module corrections, etc. (DTCs)
  • Perform all necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Quickly learn how to evaluate information and data and provide comprehensive interpretation of technical information.
  • Perform customer service / reporting.
  • Coordinating your schedule and prioritising site visits, ad-hoc requests with the ability to travel, stay overnight (in certain cases) and be highly flexible. – Expenses will be covered
  • Collaboration with team members to develop solutions.
  • Some understanding of Network related terminology and the ability to assist group IT teams in diagnosing issues with Firewalls and Network related problems – this will be support by our in-house IT team
  • Accurate record keeping – Site sign offs, feedback sheets, completing project documentation
  • Continuous learning on new technical information and techniques in e-learning training sessions to stay well-informed with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Be flexible around workload and daily job attendance
  • Flexible in travel distance for work taking thought on planning time to meet customers requirements
  • Communication with National Sales and Operations Manager at all times, ensuring awareness of any issues or escalations.
  • Work as a efficient team member, and provide support when needed
  • Adhere to company policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Work van and equipment will be provided. You will be responsible for upkeep of equipment, any further equipment needed will be approved by Head of Operations
  • Weekly checks on company vehicle will be carried out by you to support maintenance on a healthy working vehicle, tires, brakes, oils and fluids, lights, wipers and to keep clean.
  • Vehicle needs to be kept in a safe location on a night when not occupied and will need some equipment may need to be kept in a safe place due to cost of tooling
  • You maybe required to work extra hours in this job role, and to be on site for 8am to start shift.
  • Planning schedule will be put in place to help support your daily routine.
  • Work mobile phone will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of car dealership experience OR experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician
  • OEM scan tool and/or aftermarket scan tool experience and knowledge
  • Proficient in identification of faults codes, error messages and modules
  • Strong automotive mechanical and electrical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience
  • Experience in working on ADAS systems mobile or in a workshop
  • Must have company designated certifications or obtain within 6 months: IMI AOM230 ADAS Calibration, IMI Level 2&3 in electric/hybrid vehicle maintenance.
  • Current clean driving licence.
  • Strong skills and understanding of Microsoft Office and web application software.
  • Demonstrable customer service skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New car OEM dealership experience is considered a plus
  • Self-motivated, high energy and a customer-focused perspective
  • In depth understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and jargon
  • Proficient in customer service / reporting
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload

 

Supervisory responsibilities

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work environment

This job will see you visit different accident repair workshops were you will be required to offer you assistance in installation of new equipment, training and support of:

· Locally installed equipment

· Remote Services

· Introduction and demo of Mobile Team

 

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 25 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

 

Travel required.

Travel expense will be assisted by company card provided for fuel, maintenance parts and hotels.
